Home Price Increases Reach All-Time High in July According to the latest CoreLogic Home Price Insights (HPI) report, home prices nationwide, including distressed sales, increased 18% year-over-year in July. CoreLogic predicts that home prices will increase on a month-over-month basis by 0.7% through August, 2022, and on a year-over-year basis by 2.7% through July, 2022.
Pending Home Sales Down 1.8% in July The National Association of Realtors is reporting that pending home sales were down 1.8% in July, 2021. Existing Home Sales Up 2% in July The National Association of Realtors is reporting that existing home sales were up 2% in July to a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 5.99 million (up 1.5% from one year ago). Total housing inventory at the end of July was 1.32 million units, up 7.3% from one year ago.
